Winifred W. Lent, 92, formerly of 19 Collier Street, passed away Saturday (November 7, 2009) in Fayetteville, Georgia.
She was born in Madison County, NC, March 8, 1917, the daughter of the late Roy and Laura Mae McCauley Myers. She was a member of the Hillside Baptist Church in Hornell and was a retired employee of St. James Mercy Hospital.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Lent in 1996.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane Owens of Fayetteville, Georgia, her son, Robert Lent of Spartanburg, South Carolina ; grandchildren, Brian Lent, Sheryl Nelson, Christina Owens, Mark Owens, David Owens, Rebecca Owens; Sister, Laura Mitchell of Henderson, Nevada ; several nieces & nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends from 10am-12noon Thursday at the Hillside Baptist Church, 805 County Route 66, Hornell, where funeral services will follow visiting hours at 12:00 PM, Rev. Craig Brittingham officiating. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, Hornell, with Rev. Dennis Watson officiating.
