William C. Sheppard, 62, of

218 Madison Ave, passed away Thursday (March 15, 2007) at his homefollowing a long illness. Born in Queens,NY, September 2, 1944, a son of Edward T. and AnnaKurth Sheppard.



He was a graduate of Manhattan Tech., class of 1962.



On July19, 1967 he married the former Judy Ivey who survives.



Wishing to provide the best place for his children to growup, Bill relocated his family to the Almond, Bishopville area in 1972. Thefamily then moved to Hornell in 1996.



Bill began his company, S&S Fixtures and Furniture andpioneered refacing cabinets in addition to custom design and building cabinetsboth locally and as far away as Long Island.



He was a foreman at Woodcroftery in Wayland, a supervisor atCorbin Wood Products in Hornell and was known as "Mill Bill "while he worked at Holland's Lumber.



Bill was a member of the Hillside Baptist Church, Dansville-Wayland Lodge #478 F &AM in South Dansville.

He was predeceased by his parents and one brother EdwardSheppard



He is survived by his wife Judy two daughters: Virginia (Lee)Youngs of Campbell and Lynda (Seth) Howitt of Wellsville. Twosons: William C. Sheppard IV of Paint Post and Edward (Cindy) Sheppard ofCampbell

11 Grand children and nieces, nephews and cousins

The family will be present to receive friends at the Hillside Baptist Churchfrom 2-4PM Sunday (March 18, 2007) wherefuneral services will be held at 4 Pmat the conclusion of calling hours, Rev. James Mott officiating. Burial will be in Arkport Cemetery.
