William Rusty Gena IV, 52, of 27 Albion Street, passed away peacefully Thursday (September 22, 2016) at Jones Memorial Hospital.
Born in Wellsville, September 2, 1964, the son of William R. and Patricia (Casterline) Gena III, he was a lifelong area resident. Rusty was previously employed for the former Rent Way, and then for Rent A Center in Hornell. He loved all animals, seafood, and being a Dad and Grandpa. Rusty was a creative and artistic person, with a great sense of humor, who could turn the most serious moment into a fun and silly moment.
He was predeceased by his parents and his daughter Stephanie Rose Gena in 2009.
He is survived by his son Brandon (Lacy Young) Gena of Belmont, 3 daughters Kimberly (Dustin Clark) Gena of Hornell, Katherine (Joshua) Hoffman of Hornell, Megan (John Gibbs)Witzmann of Hornell, 3 sisters Christine Gena of Hornell, Tina Briggs of Andover, Laurie Conley of Olean, 9 grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
The family will be present 4-6PM Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell, where funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM, with Rev. Dean Good officiating.
