William Robert Bacon, 74, a resident of Quinn Road in Bath, passed away Wednesday (June 10, 2026, at his home following a long illness. Born in Hornell, Dec. 18, 1951, he was the son of William and Helen Ross Bacon. He was a graduate of Canisteo Central School.

Bill had spent his early life in Canisteo, and had resided in the Town of Bath, for the past 50 years. He had been self employed as a commercial truck driver for many years.

He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Sandra Murat and his nephew, Robin Murat.

Surviving are his wife, Nancy Shader Bacon, of Bath, his daughter Heather S. Bacon of Bath, his son, William B. Bacon of Bath and his brother Richard Bacon of Pennsylvania. There will be no calling hours or services. The family is being assisted by Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Hornell.
