William A. Flint, 77, of 7476 North Main Street Ext, passedaway Wednesday (December 31, 2008) at Arnot Ogden inElmira.



Born in Hornell, September 27, 1931, the sonof Bert and Golda Bonney Kenyon Flint, he had been a life long area resident.Bill was a member of the Hornell Elks Lodge for 50 years, as well as a memberof the Hornell American Legion and the Hornell Moose. He was a retired truck driver from Cleveland's trucking in North Hornell.



He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Mary L. Flint in2004, and his brother George Flint.



He is survived by his daughter Susan (Ken) Arno of Yorktown, VA, 2 sons Steve Contosof Naples, andJohn Contos of VirginiaBeach, VA, and 6grandchildren.



The family will be present 11am-1pm Saturday, at the Bender - Brown & PowersFuneral Home,

354 Canisteo St,Hornell, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, with the Rev. Herb Shafer officiating. Burial will be in Arkport Cemetery.
