Bill Davis age 77, of Standard Avenue, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Wednesday (September 3, 2025) at his home.
He was born in Hornell, New York on December 19, 1947 the son of John Davis and Edna Perry Davis, and was a lifelong area resident. Bill was a self-employed contractor and handyman that was known for being able to fix anything. He enjoyed fishing, and hunting. Bill was a hard- working man but would drop what was needed to help his family.
He is survived by his wife Georgia Sanford Davis, several children and several grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and all his siblings.
The family will be present on Wednesday (September 10, 2025) at the Bender Brown & Powers Funeral Home 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell from 11am-1pm with a Funeral Service at 1:00pm with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating. Burial will be at Rural Cemetery in Hornell.
