Wilfred L "Bud" Craft, 62, of
394 Canisteo St., passed away Thursday (January 29, 2009) at theBath VAMC.
Born in Haddonfield,NJ, February 18, 1946, the son of Wilfred L and HarrietEpley Craft Sr, he hadresided in Hornell for many years. Bud graduated from Cherry Hill High Schoolin New Jersey Class of 1964, and later earned his Associates Degree from RCATechnical Institute of Cherry Hill NJ Class of 1966, and then went onto servehis country in the US Army from 1967-70. During his deployment he was stationedin Tague, Korea , and thePentagon in WashingtonDC, with duties including top secret cryptoand world wide communications. Bud had been employed at Checkpoint Systems Incin Thorofare, NJ, later self employed with Kee-Tech Inc, was a service manager for Electrolux (WesternNew York Division), had been owner and operator of the Donut Shoppe in Hornell,worked for Wal-Mart sporting goods department, and was most recently employedat Gunlocke.
Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing, nascarespecially Jeff Gordon, football, but most of all he loved his wife, kids, andgrandkids.
He was predeceased by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer O'Dell Craft, daughterHeather (Dale Evingham) Craft of Hornell, sons CurtisCraft of Allen, Kenneth (Allie) Craft of North Hornell, step son Russell Deuelstationed in Japan with the US Navy, grandchildren Shawn Evingham,Amy Evingham, Christopher Craft, and Vincent Craft,nieces and nephews, and his 2 four legged friends Sadie, and Brody his goldenretrievers.
The family will be present 6-8pm Monday, at the Bender - Brown & Powers FuneralHome,
354 Canisteo St,Hornell. Funeral services will be heldat the Bath VA Chapel on Tuesday, at 1:00PM, with the Rev. Jerry Hamlin officiating. Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery with fullmilitary honors.
