Wesley T. House, 93, of Formerly North Main St. Ext, passed away Friday (November 10, 2006) McAuley Manor.
Born in Hornell, May 20, 1913, the son of Wymanand Blanche DeVoeHouse, he had resided all hislife in Hornell. He was a graduate of Hornell High School and had been employed as a machinest for the former Merrill Hosiery in Hornell untilhis retirement in 1979. He was a member of the Hornell United Methodist Church,Hornellsville Lodge #44 F& AM, and the Hornell AmericanLegion Post. He had been employed forseveral years as a janitor for the United Presbyterian Church in Hornell.
He was predeceased by his wife, Geraldine Rounds House in1992.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Carolyn (Warren) Harwood ofHornell, Marcia Ashworth of Painted Post; 3 sons, Thomas (Linda) House ofLeicester, John (Geraldine) House of Horseheads,Stephen House of Bishopville; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, nieces& nephews.
The family will be presentto receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Bender - Brown & Powers FuneralHome, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell where a Masonic memorial service will be heldSunday evening at 7 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 AM at the funeral home withRev. Terry Kelly officiating. Burialwith military honor will follow in RuralCemetery, Hornell.
