Watson David Brace, 65, of 323 Grand St., passed away Tuesday (October 2, 2012) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester surrounded by his loving family.



Born in Corning, March 21, 1947, the son of Watson Homer and Mary Kephart Brace, he had resided in Hornell since 1975. David worked in maintenance for the Hornell Country Club and served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Salvation Army and a former member of the Hornell Eagles Club. David was a car enthusiast and enjoyed camping, bowling and most of all his children and grandchildren.



He was predeceased by his parents as well as his son William C. Brace, grandchildren, Dokata Christopher Brace and Alexis Mary Karen Brace, one brother; Harry Miller, ex-wife; Joyce Brace.



He is survived by his wife, Darlean (Miles) Brace whom he married in 1994, sons; David W. Brace of Hornell, John (Danielle) Collins of Hornell, Christopher (Melissa) Brace of Crossville TN, Randy (Lindsey Lajoie) Brace of Hornell, daughters; Kimberly (Scott) McGregor of Canisteo, Dawn (Michael) McGregor I of Hornell, Shana (Raymond Bost) Davis of Hornell and Brittany Brace of Hornell, one brother; Donald Miller of Dunkirk, two sisters; Mable (John) Manhart Sr. of Hornell and Susan Brown of Hornell, special friends; Lori Brace of Wellsville and Robert Davis of Hornell, 23 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, family dog, Dazion.

The family will be present to receive friends on Friday (Oct. 5, 2012) from 12Pm until 4Pm at the Living Waters Church, Southyard Rd. Hornell. Funeral services will follow calling at 4Pm at the Church, with Maj. Rodney Fowlers officiating. Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Hornell.
