Walter A. Wesche, 92, a resident of the Wellsville Manor, passed away Thursday (April 3, 2014) at the Wellsville Manor.



Born in Allen, February 5, 1922, the son of Adolph and Agatha (Breitwieser) Wesche, he had been a long time resident of Allen, and most recently Belmont. Walt was in the US Army during World War II, and had been employed as a dairy farmer in Allen for many years. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Allen, the Farm Bureau, ASCS, was the Allen Town Supervisor, and also a Councilman, and he enjoyed woodworking.



He was predeceased by his parents, and his wife Agnes (Mowers) Wesche on November 18, 2011, whom he married on November 19, 1950, also his 2 brothers Harold and Leonard Wesche, and 4 sisters Louise Browning, Martha Wesche, Anna Wesche, and Clara Wesche.



He is survived by his son David (Candace) Wesche of Allen, 2 daughters Elaine (Michael) O'Leary of Ogden, Betty (Douglas) Nichols in Farmersville, his sister in law Joyce Gildner of Florida, 9 grandchildren Sheena O'Leary-Colburn, Bruce Nichols, Tiffany (Scott) Lambert, Allen Nichols, Casey (Liz Lain) Wesche, Shannon (Patrick) Mooney, Shawn, Justin and April Wesche, 2 great grandchildren Eloise Lambert, and Lincoln Wesche, several nieces and nephews.



The family will be present 7-9pm Friday, April 4 , 2014, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Avenue, Angelica, and also from 11am-1pm Saturday (April 5, 2014) at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where Military honors and Funeral services will take place at 1:00pm, with the Rev. Larry Hoyt Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Hills Cemetery, Belmont.
