Walter L. Shuman, 65, of 830 West Swamp Road, passed away Friday (March 11, 2011) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, June 28, 1945, the son of Carl and Geraldine Predmore Bovee, he had resided in Hornell for several years and graduated from Hornell High School. He later received his associates degree from Alfred State College. He was employed as an electronics technician for the former Stromberg-Carlson Corporation in Rochester. Walt served his country as a member of the New York Army National Guard in Hornell from 1965-1975.
He was predeceased by his parents and one daughter, Sandra Shuman in 1969.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Angelina and Tina Marie Shuman, 3 sisters, Sherry Henry of Hartsville, Carolyn Doty of Groveland and Irene Hodge of PA. 2 brothers, Norman Bovee of Germany and Ricky Bovee of Hornell.
