Painted Post/North Hornell
Timothy G. Houghtaling, 58, a resident of Elderwood Nursing Home in North Hornell, passed away peacefully Saturday (June 17, 2017) at Elderwood.
Born in Corning, August 15, 1958, the son of Floyd and Jean (Hovey) Houghtaling, he had resided at Pathway Forest Drive ICF in Painted Post, for well over 27 years, and just recently had been moved to Elderwood Nursing Home in March. While he was a resident at Pathways he spent many many hours volunteering for the SPCA in Painted Post, and was a lover of all animals.
He was predeceased by his parents 2 brothers Robert and Daniel Houghtaling, and his brother in law Jack Loper.
He is survived by his sister Robin Loper of Canisteo, 3 brothers Pat (Chris) Houghtaling of South Carolina, Steven Houghtaling of Canisteo, and Lyman Houghtaling of Canisteo, and several nieces and nephews.
A private burial was held at the Greenwood Cemetery. A Memorial Service for immediate family only will be held on Tuesday (June 27, 2017) at 4:00pm at Pathways Forest Drive ICF in Painted Post.
