Tiara A. O'Dell, 17, of
3617 County Route 31, passed away Monday (Oct. 1, 2007) as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident in the Town of Canisteo.
Born in Hornell, June 11, 1990, the daughter of Ricky J. and Julie Updyke , she had resided in the Jasper area all her life. She was a member of the Senior Class at Jasper-Troupsburg Central School, and a member of the Student Council, the Chorus, the foreign language club, the band, the drama club, the yearbook staff, the Jr. National Honor Society, the show choir, the prom committee, the softball team, the cheerleading squad, and the soccer team as well as the Jasper Historical Society and the Steuben County Historical Society. Tiara was crowned the 2007 Homecoming Queen on Friday night.
She was predeceased by her grandfather, Wilbur O'Dell, her father, Ricky O'Dell and her uncles, Wilbur and Jerry Lee O'Dell.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Julie and Steve Hulsey of Greenwood, one sister: Rikki Lynn Nesbit of North Carolina, two brothers: Cody O'Dell, currently stationed in Ft.
