Thomas D. Riley, 87, of

218 East Dyke St., passed away ChristmasEve morning, at Highland Healthcare, Facility. Born in Ellisburg, PA,October 20, 1921,a son of John and Lula Dewey Riley, he was a lifelong resident of the Wellsvillearea.

Tom was a dairy farmer for many years as well an electricalcontractor in the Wellsville area for many years. He also served as an assessorfor the Town of Willing.

Tom retired in 1981, as a machine operator, with 34 years ofservice with the former ABB Airpreheater.

On June15th 1946, in Wellsville, Tom married the former ArleneWoodcock Riley who survives.

Tom served his country during WW2 on radar control from1942- 1946, where he was awarded the good conduct medal, and the Americanservice medal.



He was a life member of the American Legion Post 702 inWellsville, where he served as Post Commander, and a communicant of the ImmaculateConception Church of Wellsville.



He was predeceased by his parents, sisters: Margaret Draughn and Geraldine Ross. Two brothers, Raymond andBernard Riley.



Surviving in addition to his wife: Arlene Riley of 62 years,are 2 daughters: Janice Riley and Mary Lou (Robert) Willettsboth of Wellsville, an extended daughter Nancy Wilson also of Wellsville.



2 sons: Edward Riley and John (Dawn) Riley also ofWellsville.

4 Grandchildren: Ann (Robert) Grossman of Wendell, N.C.,Debra (Michael) Powers of Hornell, Katie Riley (Patrick Comstock) of Amherst, and Kris Rileyof Wellsville.

6 Great Grandchildren: Justin, Brittany, Stephaine,Kaitlyn, Cameron, and Zachary



A niece: Margaret Riley Webster of Genesee, Pa.,a cousin Bob Hughes of Shongo and several nieces andnephews, as well as his extended family at the Highland Healthcare and Highland Daycare Center.

The family will be present to receive friends Monday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at theMulholland- Crowell Funeral Home 296 NorthMain St, Wellsville where funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 10:00AM. Burial will be in Yorks Corners Cemeterywith full military honors.



Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Bender-Brown& Powers Funeral Home, Hornell.
