Thomas M. Olejniczak, 71, of East Notch Road, passed away peacefully, Saturday (October 29, 2016) at his home.
Born in Buffalo, October 24, 1945, the son of Peter and Jessie (Douglas) Olejniczak, he was a lifelong area resident of the area. Tom graduated from Angelica Central School, and went on to serve in the US Marines Corp in 1965. He had also worked in Perryton, Texas for a period of time.
Tom was a member of the Richburg Volunteer Fire Department, as well as the American Legion in Bolivar, and also enjoyed hunting.
He was predeceased by his parents, and 3 brothers Roy, Peter and Jimmy Olejniczak.
He is survived by his 3 sisters Margaret Terry of Angelica, Fran Struble of West Almond, Arlene (Clinton) Makeley of Angelica, 2 brothers Anthony Olejniczak of West Almond, and Robert Olejniczak of Fillmore, his niece and caretaker Venus Gage-Makeley (Chris Gatti) of Richburg, several other nieces and nephews and his great nephews Jason Gage Jr, and Gerald Gage.
The family will be present 1-3pm Thursday, November 3, 2016, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 101 West Avenue in Angelica, where Funeral services, Military Honors, and a Richburg Volunteer Fire Department service, will be held at 3:00 PM, with Rev. David Ford officiating. Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery.
