Theodosia E. "Teddy" McEachron, 89, formerly,of
1190 Webbs Crossing Road,passed away Sunday (March 25, 2007) at the Steuben County Health Care Facility in Bath. Teddy was afflicted with Alzheimer's Disease for 15 years, but thru all this time,she always had a smile on her face. The family wishes to express theirappreciation to the nurses, aides, and staff at the Steuben County Health CareFacility for the excellent care given to Teddy during the 2 ? years that sheresided there.
Born in East Hebron,NY, December 14, 1917, the daughter of Norman and Clara BelleShaw Sheldon, she moved to Arkport in1966, and later resided several years in Floridabefore returning to Arkport to live in 1994 .Teddy was a graduate of Granville High School and received her registered nurses degreefrom Mt. Siani Hospital in New York City. She was employed in nursing in Cambridge, NYand several other hospitals before retiring in1976 from the former Bethesda Community Hospitalin North Hornell. Teddy had served in the US Navy achieving therank of Lieutenant from 1943 to 1946.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church ofArkport, and had done volunteer work atMercy Care.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence McEachron, her sisters, Eleanor Williams, and Bertha Brown,3 brothers, Albert, Milton, and Vernon Sheldon, and her best friend, "Lil Champ", her daughter's dog.

She is survived by her daughter, Jo Ann (David) Terwilliger ofHornell, her son, Charles (Kathleen) McEachron ofTully, her sister, Alberta Labas of West Pawlett, VT, 3 sisters-in-law, Grace Sheldon of Salem, NY ,Paulette Sheldon of Granville, NY, and Catherine McEachronof Salem, NY, nieces & nephews.
Honoring Teddy's request, there will be no visiting hours. Aprivate family graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
