Terry L. Rice, 60, of 3692 Worden Road, went home to the Lord on Wednesday (December 13, 2017) at Cuba Memorial Hospital.



Born in Hornell, April 14, 1957, the son of James and Esther (Wheeler) Prouty, he was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Canaseraga Central School. He was retired from the former Air PreHeater now Alstom in Wellsville. Terry was an ordained preacher attaining his credits through the church. He was a hardworking, humble, kind, and strong man that always put his family first. He was a Buffalo Bills fan, loved to read, and farming.



He was predeceased by his father James Prouty, his sister Louise M. Mader, his brothers Douglas Prouty, and Edwin C. Prouty.



He is survived by his wife Pamela M. Brundage Rice, whom he married on July 13, 1987, his mother Esther Prouty of Dansville, his daughter Heather (Marc) Matteson of Perry, his son Joseph Rice of Angelica, his sister Sherry Palmer, his brothers James R Prouty Jr., and Frank N. Prouty, his 3 grandchildren Jacob Jeffery Matteson, Chelsey Nicole Matteson and Luke Terry Matteson, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.



The family will be present 11am-1pm Monday, December 18, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of Angelica, located on the Park Circle, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, with Rev. David Ford officiating. Burial will be in Until the Day Dawn Cemetery.
