Teresa J. Raner, 77, of
6 Ninth Street, passed away Monday (January 12, 2009) at the Steuben County Health Related Facility in Bath.
Born in Hornell, May 28, 1931, the daughterof Francis and Vera Schmitz, she hadresided in Canisteo for several years. She was a graduate of Hornell High School,a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Canisteo American Legion post as wella member of Our Lady of the ValleyParish, and a communicant of the former St. Joachims Church in Canisteo. Teresa was employed for many years on theCafeteria Staff for the Canisteo School District.
She was predeceased by her parents, and 3 sisters, Rita Stone,Frances Holloran and Jean DiNardo.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis Raner of Canisteo, herdaughter, Leona Raner of Rochester, her son Michael (Michelle) Raner of SouthCarolina, and her brother, James (Ida) Schmitz of Arkport, 5 grandchildren and8 Great Grandchildren.

Honoring Teresa's wishes, there will be no visiting hours orservices. A private graveside service will be held for the family at Hillside Cemetery in Canisteo.
