Sylvester S. Suriani, 82,formerly of
HornellStreet, passed away peacefully, Saturday (March 17, 2007) at McAuley Manor.
Born in Hornell, August 18, 1924, the son of Frank and Philomena Sciotti Suriani, he had resided all his life in Hornell.He was a communicant of St. Anns Church inHornell and had been employed as a machinist at the former SKF Indursties for 31 years prior to his retirement in1977. Sylvester served his country as amember of the US Army from 1943-1946.
On March7, 1947 he married the former MarceleneBrewer who predeceased him on January9, 1999..
He was predeceased by his sisters, Rose Suriani,Yolanda Fininzio, Virtinia Coniglio and Mary Suriani as wellas his 4 brothers, Donald, Anthony, Angelo and Frank Suriani.
He is survived by 4 daughters, Joanne ( Stanley) Cone of Hornell, Filamina(Don) Peck of Brockport, Kelly Suriani of Rochester, and Lisa Suriani of Brockport, 2 sons, Frank (Roberta) Suriani of Oklahoma and Charles "Chuck" Surianiof Olean, 4grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.

354 Canisteo Street,Hornell. Family and friends are invitedto attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 11:30 AM at St. Ann's Church. Burial will be in St.Mary's Cemetery, Town of Fremont.
