Suszanne M. Potter, 71, of Pine St., passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her family on Wednesday (August 31, 2016) at St. James Mercy Hospital.
Born in Sayre, PA., September 25, 1944, the daughter of Homer and Edna Hendricks, she had resided in the Hornell area her whole life. Suszanne was employed by Stearn and Stearn Textiles in Hornell for 30 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, 1 son, Stephen Potter, her brother, Richard Foster and 3 sisters, Doris Walton, Frances Normile and Marion House.
She is survived by 3 sons, Ronnie (Jenny) Potter of Canisteo, Roy Potter of Florida and Kevin Seger of Arkport, 2 daughters, Rhonda Cayton of Hornell and Vicki Seger of Indiana, 8 grandchildren, Christopher Potter, Bre'ann Potter, Stephen Wood, Felicia Nussbaumer, Britney Cayton, Cassidy Cayton, Lisa Seger and Kurt Seger, twin great-grandchildren Blake and Owen Vanhorne, 1 brother, William Lindsey of Binghamton and 2 sisters Rosann McCormick of Florida and Patricia Benjamin of Hornell.

The family will be present to receive friends Tuesday, September 6, 2016, from 4-6PM at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St. Hornell. A memorial service will follow calling hours at 6:00 PM, Rev. Donald Maynard officiating.
