Stanley W. Amidon, 83, of 5461 Cook Hill Road, passed away Wednesday (January 13, 2010) at St. James Hospital.
Born in the Town of Hartsville, June 27, 1926, the son of Walter D. and Mildred Rowe Amidon, he had resided all his life in Hartsville. He was a self employed farmer and was the current President of the Hartsville Center Cemetery Association.
He was predeceased by his parents, sisters, Beverly Amidon and Norma Robinson, and his brother, Ward Amidon.
He is survived by one sister: Blanche Sawyer of Eldred, PA., and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends on Monday from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo where funeral services will be held following calling hours at 1:00 PM, Rev. Donald Maynard officiating. Burial will be in Hartsville Center Cemetery.
