Shirley J. Geer, 83, of 8 Bostwick Place, passed away Friday (May 4, 2018) at her home.



Born in Groveland, NY, June 1, 1934, the daughter of Raymond and Mary (Sage) Teeter, she had resided in Hornell, for the past several years. She had worked for Lilac Cleaners in Rochester and Gordon's Auction in Stanards for 15 years. She was a huge Elvis fan, enjoyed crocheting, and collecting many things. She also loved animals especially her birds and squirrels friends, of which she fed on her porch. Shirley would also help anybody in need that she could, her door always seemed to be open.



She was predeceased by her parents, her infant daughter Rachel Geer in 1974, her son Oliver Geer Jr., 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.



She is survived by 3 daughters Maryann Teeter of Rochester, Nora Pridham of Casper, WY, Dawn Geer of Wellsville, a son George Geer of Wellsville, a brother Kenneth Teeter of Lockport, a sister Anna Bradley of Rochester, her grandkids Josy (Kelly) Cross of Alma, Roger Fanton Jr of Wellsville, Jessica Cabic of Hornell, John Mead of Bolivar, Jennifer (Scott) Smith of Castile, Justin Mead of Alabama, Alan, Adam and Anthony Geer all of Wellsville, Cherish, Donald, Nina Pridham all of Casper, WY, 17 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandkids.



At Shirley's request there will be no services at this time. A service will take place at a later time. Burial will be at Holy Sepluchre Cemetery in Rochester.
