Shirley Dugo Page Jackett’ 88, of East Washington Street, passed away Friday (Aug. 15,2025) at St. James Hospital in Hornell.
Shirley attended Hornell City Schools and St. Ann’s Church. On June 17, 1956, Shirley married the love of her life and the father of her children, the late Robet L. Page who was given to the Lord on March 12, 1977. On November 18, 1981, with her children’s blessings, Shirley remarried Kenneth W. Jackett of Elba, NY. Kenneth was given to the Lord on September 16, 1996.
Shirley was predeceased by three sisters, Elaine Rosemary who was given to the Lord at 26 days on October 10. 1935, Joann Dugo on March 15, 2014, Barbara J. Ordway on October 21, 2019, a brother, David B. Dugo on June 25, 2017, a daughter-in-law, Cindy Conner Page on January 24, 2018, and her beloved son, Frank E. Page on March 19, 2019. She was also predeceased by one granddaughter, Ashley Renee Aldrich on July 31, 201 as well as her parents, Dominic and Harriet Lorow Dugo.
In addition to raising her children, Shirley worked at numerous places including Minor Shoe Factory in Batavia, NY, Modern Cleaners of Hornell and also worked as an aide and housekeeper in several nursing homes and private homes.
Shirley was a Blue Bird leader and was also a life member of the Hornell VFW Post 2250, in which she was very active. In June of 2019, she was awarded her 50 year pin. She has served as a Post President and Secretary for many years. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose, IOOF, and Eagles Club formerly of Hornell. She was a member of the Jennie Rockwell Circle at the former Bethesda Hospital, a past President of the Washington School PTA, and the Women of the Moose “Pot’s and Pans Kitchen Band”.
Shirley enjoyed Genealogy and traced 5 family histories. She enjoyed camping and going to Bingo. She also, since 5th grade, wrote to pen pals from all over the world for over 50 years.
Family and friends were Shirley’s passion and delight, but most important to Shirley were her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her nonbiological children and grandchildren that were always in her life that she considered her own. Shirley has left many memories for us to cherish.
Shirley is survived by her wonderful and loving children, Scott Page (Natalie) of Due West South Carolina, Kelly Page of Hornell, Sally Page Brewer of Hornell and Kenneth Jackett of Wellsville. Her beautiful grandchildren, Randi Page Hauber (Bart) of Corning, Casey Page of Florida, Jason Page of Hornell, Emmanuel Borges of Hornell, Jessica Page of Hornell, Gregory Page of Flordia, Misti Bleu Carbone (Joey) of Hartsville, Ashley Myers of Hornell, Zachary Myers of Hornell, Teal Hults (Edward Jackson) of Hornell, Daniel Brewer, Krista Brewer and Jacob Brewer all of Hornell. Her beautiful great grandchildren,
Julia Stephens of Canisteo, Alexander Lockwood of Hornell, Dominic Lockwood of Hornell, Kaitlin Carbone of Hornell, Alivia Norman of Ulysses, PA, Branson Norman of Ulysses, PA, Noel Hauber of Corning, Natalie Hauber of Corning, Angela Stanford of Canisteo, Jaxon Brewer of Corning, Scarlett Jackson of Hornell, Amelia Broughton of Hornell, Natalie Broughton of Hornell and Maverick Jackson of Hornell, and her good and very close lifetime friends, Lillian Patterson of Hornell and Barbara Makeley of Hornell. Also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews, cousins, and nonbiological children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The children and grandchildren of Shirley would like to express their great appreciation to all the personal care givers, the Hornell Fire Department, and St. James Hospital for all their unwavering, exceptional care.

Family and friends are invited to calling hour at the Bender-Brown &Powers Funeral Home 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell on Thursday (August 21, 2025) from 11 AM until 1 PM and from 2 PM until 4 PM at which time the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 2250 will conduct a Memorial Service followed by a funeral service. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery in Hornell.
Friends wishing to remember Shirley are asked to consider a Memorial Contribution to St. Ann’s Church.
