Sharon L. Smith, 66, of 131 Hornell Street, passed away Wednesday (April 24, 2013) at Highland Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Hornell, November 3, 1946, the daughter of Willard F. and Ilene (Washburn) Smith, she was a lifelong area resident. Sharon was retired from Olean General Hospital as a Medical Records Technician, a job she cherished very much. She enjoyed crocheting and was a former member of the Ivanhoe Chapter #160 Order of the Eastern Star.
She was predeceased by her parents, and her brother Willard Smith in 2003.
She is survived by her 2 sisters Roxanne (Jack) Halsey of Hartsville, Judy Winters of Alfred Station, her brother Daniel Smith of Hornell, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present 12-2pm Sunday, April 28, 2013, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell, where funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, with the Rev. Dudley Jenkins officating. Burial will be in Almond Woodlawn Cemetery.
