Sharon L. Norton,56, passed away Thursday (August 26, 2004) at the St. James Mercy Suite at St. James Hospital.



Born in Hornell, NY, September 9, 1947, the daughter of Nelsonand Thelma Stephens Norton, shewas a lifelong area resident.



Sharonhad been employed for the NYSDOT in Hornell as a Truck Driver for many years.She belonged to the Canisteo American Legion and the Hornell VFW.



She was predeceased byher father Nelson Norton and her longtime companion Larry Lawrence.



She is Survived by her motherThelma Norton of Canisteo

The family will be present Monday(August 30, 2004) from 1-3 & 5-7pm at the Brown & PowersFuneral Home 6 Spruce St. Canisteo, where funeral services will be at 7:00pmwith the Rev. Donald Maynard officiating. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery.
