Sharon I. Nasca, 68, of 11 Florence Street, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Thursday (March 25, 2010) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester following a short illness.
Born in Canisteo, February 2, 1942, the daughter of Clifford and Margaret Andrus Dennis, she resided in Canisteo for 18 years prior to moving to Hornell following her marriage in 1960 to Louis Nasca. She was a graduate of Canisteo Central School, Class of 1960, and had been employed as a teacher's aide for the Steuben-Allegany BOCES for 23 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in North Hornell and a long time member of the Women Of The Word Bible Study.
She was predeceased by her parents, and her brother and sister-in-law, Orville and Lovonne Campbell.
She is survived by her husband, Louis Nasca , with whom she would have celebrated 50 years of marriage in August 2010, 2 daughters, Susan (Raymond) Gibson of Texas, Terresa (Brian) Andrews of Georgia, 2 sons, Louis Nasca of Canaseraga, and Christopher Nasca of Georgia, her sister, Evelyn (Norman) Little of Bath, 9 Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present to receive friends at the Canisteo Wesleyan Church, 25 Greenwood , Canisteo, NY on Monday from 4-7 PM. The family would love to welcome all in a celebration of Sharon's life at 7 PM. Rev. Donald Maynard will officiate. A reception and fellowship will immediately follow the service.
