Shannon M Oakley, 24, of 158 Main Street, passed away Friday (January 7, 2011) at Strong Hospital.
Born in Corning, March 26, 1986, the son of Robin and Anna Bockus Oakley, graduating from Corning West High School. Turky enjoyed trapshooting, hunting, bowling, fishing, go-karts, racing, and was an avid Elmira Jackals fan.
He was predeceased by his father Robin Oakley.
He is survived by his wife Virginia Oakley, his mother Anna Oakley of Coopers Plains, sister Nikki Lyn Oakley of Coopers Plains, 2 brothers Shawn Michael Oakley of Horseheads, Shane Matthew Oakley of Avoca, grandmothers Marilyn Bockus, and Delores Cisco, 2 nieces Natanya Oakley, Selena White and a nephew Camden Forman and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family will be present 10-12Noon Friday, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo, where Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, with the Rev. Donald Maynard officiating. Burial will be in Powers Cemetery, in Lawrenceville.
