Barnard, 77, of Burt Hill Road, Passed away unexpectedly Sunday (Aug. 20, 2023) at his home. Born in the Town of Canisteo, January 30, 1946, he was the son of Jesse and Lulu Converse Barnard. He had resided his entire life in the Canisteo area.Shannon was employed for 40 years for the Erie, Erie Lakawanna, Conrail and finally the Norfolk-Southern Rail Road.He was predeceased by his parents, and his brothers, Shearl and Arthur Barnard.Surviving are his wife, Gloria Woodworth Barnard, his daughters, Shawn Barnard of Canisteo and Shannon (Michael) Sit of Pennsylvania, his sisters, Ann Baxter of Dundee, Nancy Bacon of Cameron and Paula Coots of Avon, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.To send a remembrance to the family please visit www.brownandpowersfuneralhomes.com or on Facebook@brownandpowersfuneralhomes.The family observed a private visitation and funeral service on Wednesday with Rev. Dudley Jenkins officiating.
