Sean B. Jefferds, 25, of
6280 Shaw Rd, passed away Saturday (November 22, 2008) athome.
Born in Hornell, December 29, 1982, the son of Norman and Linda Knowles Jefferds,he was a life long resident of the Alfred Station area.
Sean was a graduate of the Alfred Almond Central School,class of 2001 and a graduate of SUNY Alfred, with an Associates degree inoccupational studies, in air conditioning and heating technology, in 2006.
He was employed by Jefferds Construction in Alfred Stationand most recently a partner with his father, and future brother in law, BrianMarino in J & M Excavating.
Sean was known for his love of baseball during his littleleague years. He also enjoyed snowboarding,skateboarding, fishing, traveling and camping.He was an avid Grateful Dead fan.
Sean will be best remembered for his enjoyment of life.
He was predeceased by his mother, Linda in 1998
He is survived by hisfather, Norman Jefferds of AlfredStation, A sister: Katrina Jefferds, her fiance´e, Brian Marino, and a nephewCameron Marino all of South Canisteo, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and his special four legged friend Jake.
The family will be present to receive friends, Tuesday (Nov. 25, 2008) from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Bender - Brown & Powers FuneralHome,
354 Canisteo St,Hornell, where Funeral services will be held at 8PM at the conclusion of calling hours, with Rev. KennethChroniger officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Almond.
Friends wishing may make memorial contributions to: theHornell Area Humane Society P.O. Box 533 Hornell, N.Y. 14843. Contribution envelopes will be available atthe funeral home.
