Scott D. "Cubby" Sanford, 53, of 6236 North Main Street Ext., passed away Tuesday (February 1, 2011) at Strong Memorial Hospital.



Born in Sodus, July 24, 1957, the son of George and Barb (Hillyard) Sanford, he had resided in the Hornell area all his life. A graduate of the Hornell High School Scott enjoyed Fishing, hunting and going to the Woodhull Raceway.



He was predeceased by his parents as well as one Step-Brother, Mark Lehman.



He is survived by his wife Karamiya (Resue) Sanford whom he married on September 26, 2000, one Step-Son, Darren W. Davis of Hornell, one daughter, three brothers, Terry (Lisa) Sanford of Canisteo, George (Sarah) Sanford of Hornell and Mark Sanford of Alfred Station, one step-brother, John (Michaleen) Lehman of Corning, three sisters, Paula (Ken) Karnacki of Lancaster, Trudy (Ray) Hurlburt of Alfred Station and Janet (Mitchell) Sims of TN, two step-sisters, Connie (Randy) Diapiece of Hornell, Marie (Jim) Saxton of Hornell, two grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will be present to receive friends on Monday (February 7, 2011) from 3PM until 6PM at the Hornell United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow calling hours at 6PM at the Church with the Rev. Marion Luce officiating.
