Sandra Ann McKnight
Angelica
Sandra Ann McKnight age 86, formerly of Angelica, joined her Lord and Savior on April 30, 2025 at UR St James Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Angelica on March 8, 1939 the daughter of James W. McKnight and Elizabeth Hodge McKnight Church. She graduated from Angelica Central School, and Rochester Business Institute. Sandy was a bank manager at Chase Manhattan in Rochester, NY and retired after 35 years, and then moved back to Angelica to be near family and friends. She volunteered for the Office of the Aging for many years, and helped in many different capacities. Sandy enjoyed her weekly visits to the Hornell Humane Society to hold pets and spend time with all her furry friends.
She was predeceased by her parents James and Betty, her step father Harold Church, and 2 brothers James Richard McKnight, Theodore Paul McKnight.
She is survived by her brothers Robert (Helen) McKnight, Roderick (Marie) McKnight, and Ronald McKnight, several nieces and nephews.
A Private Graveside Service will be at Until the Day Dawn Cemetery in Angelica.
Sandy’s family would like to express thanks to Updykes for the wonderful care she received while living there.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Hornell Humane Society.
The most important part of my life was knowing the Lord Jesus Christ and having the gift of being able to walk through my life with Him. This is a gift offered to everyone who will invite Jesus into their life. John 3:16
