Sally Ann Hooker

November 15, 1935 — November 22, 2023

Sally Ann (Zimmer) Hooker of 359 Seneca Road, Hornell, peacefully entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at home with her family by her side. She resided in the Hornell/Arkport area for many years prior to marrying the love of her life, Harry (Junior) Hooker on May 6, 1975. Sadly, Harry predeceased Sally in 2004.
They spent many wonderful years together traveling in their motorhome and heading south to Florida for the winter.
Sally was an avid seamstress and sewed clothing for herself and her family. She cherished any time spent with her family.
Sally is survived by her son, Douglas Lawrence (Jane Sprague), Arkport, daughter, Cindy (David) Harrison, Canisteo, stepdaughter, Cyndi (Michael) Stanton, Wellsville, stepson, Jeffrey Hooker, Belmont, daughter-in-law, Debbie Lawrence, two sisters Ginger Theilen, Hornell, Billie Stewart, Almond, sister-in-law, Tommy (Dale) Kepner, Wellsville, and brother-in-law, Robert (Jeanne) Lawrence, Florida, She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Brian (Lauran) Harrison, Brandon (Gabby) Harrison, Charli Stanton, Jorie Stanton, Jenilyn (Guy) Layfield, Wyatt Stanton, Neil Stanton, David (Renea) Lewis, Shannon Gilbert, and Tammy (John) Adams. Her great-grandchildren Abigail, Ryleigh, and Sloane Harrison, Michael and Morgan Gilbert, Sean and Evan Adams, and Avery and Hailey Adams. Also, our close family friend, Della Warner.
A graveside service will be held at the family's convenience at the Until The Day Dawn Cemetary in Angelica, NY. A celebration of Sally's life will be held at a later date.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Tender Loving Home Care for the compassion and care Mom received throughout her illness.
Memorial contributions can be made to the North Hornell Volunteer Fire Department, West Maplewood Avenue, Hornell, New York 14843.
She loved me best.....
