Ruth J. Wright, 72, of
13 Pardee Street, passed away Sunday (October 14, 2007) at the Hornell Gardens, after a 2 year battle withcancer.
Born in Tuscarora, March 2, 1935, the daughter of James W and Ernestine BixbyButler, but raised by her grandmother Jenette Morseman, she had resided in Hornell for many years. Shewas former member of the Hornell Assoc., the Hornell VFW Auxillary,and the Masonic Temple.
She was predeceased by her two sons D. James Benjamin, andBruce Davis.
She is survived by 2 sons Stephen W Benjamin, and GregoryDavis, daughter Sherry Benjamin Price (Mike Pelych)as well as half brother and sisters, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Sheenjoyed spending time and will be greatly missed by her daughter Sherry andgranddaughters Jenetta Price and AmberlyPrice as well as her half brother Dale Butler and half sisters Karen Hargrave and Patty Butler and their families. Ruth alsoenjoyed her cats, card parties with friends and Bingo.
The family will be present 4-5pm Thursday, at the Bender - Brown & Powers FuneralHome,
354 Canisteo St,Hornell, where Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling hoursat 5:00pm with the Rev. DanFuller officiating.
