Ruth M Pollinger, 92, of Co Rte 71, Jasper formerly of
1502 Eisman Rd. Arkport Passed away Saturday (January 28, 2006) at St. James Mercy Hospital.
Born in Hornell, NY, October 6, 1913, the daughter of Charles and Grace Wilcox Langs, she had been a life long resident of the Arkport, Hornell area, moving to Jasper June of this year.
Ruth had been employed by the former Bethesda Hospital as unit secretary, retiring in 1984.
She was a member of the Former Westminster Presbyterian Church and United Presbyterian church of Hornell for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Hornell Woman of the
Moose.
She was a graduate of Hornell High, class of 1932 where she had been Captin of girls basketball and soccer team.
Ruth will be remembered for her love of the outdoors, and animals and bowling, but most of all she will be remembered for her love of family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Pollinger in 1977, two sisters Adeline Stewart and Eleanor Lewis and her brother Jessee Langs
She is survived by two daughters Christine (John) O'Connor of Hornell and
Kathryn ( Allen ) Angel of Palm HarborFla.
One Son: Dale ( Suzanne) Pollinger of Rochester
6 Grandchildren Rebecca Katz , Elizabeth VanScoter, Robert and Steven Angel and Kevin and Jeffrey Pollinger,
