Ruth H. Harvey, 92 formerly of Mays Ave., passed away Wednesday (Sept. 18, 2024) at Elderwood At Hornell.
Born in Hornell. Jan. 27, 1932, she was the daughter of Merle and Delia Myhers Huff Sr. Ruth had resided all her life in Hornell and was a graduate of Hornell High School, Class of 1949.
She had been employed at the former Elmhurst Dairy in Hornell and later as an office employee for the Hornell City School District.
Ruth enjoyed bowling, playing golf, and was a past secretary - treasurer of her bowling league.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Philip Harvey Sr. in 2023, her sister, Dorothy “Helen” Lawrance and her brother, Merle Huff Jr.
Surviving is her son, Philip (Ellie) Harvey Jr. of California and her sister, Arlene Dennis of Hornell.
The family will be present to receive friends on Friday (Sept. 27, 2024) from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral in Hornell where funeral services will follow at 1:30 PM with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating. Burial will be at Heritage Hill Cemetery in Arkport.
