Ruth O. Hale, 85, formerly of
Seneca Rd, passed away Monday (January 28, 2008) in Rochester.
Born in Buffalo,February 9, 1922,the daughter of LaVerne and Samantha (Olney) DeVinney, she had resided in Hornell most of her life. Shewas a member of the former Emmaus Shrine #17 White Shrine of Jerusalem, and theIvanhoe Chapter. #160 Order of the Eastern Star.
She was predeceased by her Husband Raymond Hale, 3 brothers:Robert, Spencer and Harold DeVinney.
She is survived by 2 sons: Lee Hale of Hornell and Jon Haleof Rochester, 1grandson Jason Freeman.
The family will be present to receive friends from 6 PM till 8 PM Tuesday at the Bender-Brown & PowersFuneral Home 354 Canisteo St, Hornell, where an Eastern Star Memorial Servicewill take place at 7PM.Funeral services will be on Wednesday, at 11:00AM, at the funeral home.Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Canisteo.
