Ruth A. Creeley, 76, went home to be with the Lord on Friday (January 27, 2017) at Seneca View, in Montour Falls, surrounded by her husband and children.
Born in Corning, January 6, 1941, the daughter of LaVerne I. and Luella M. (Rice) Bender, she was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church in Bath, and loved to garden.
She was predeceased by her parents, and a sister Barbara Brooks.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years Duane F. Creeley of New Falls Home in Montour Falls, also surviving are their children Karen R. and her husband Steve Neff of Madisonville,TN son Kevin D. Creeley and his children of Dalmatia, PA, Kimberly S. Rathburn and her husband Jeffrey and their children of Port Charlotte, FL, Kenneth M. and his wife Trina and their son Joshua of McLeansville, NC, Keith A. and his wife Patti and their children of Bath, Kristopher S. and his wife Sarah Creeley of Greensboro, NC.
The family will be present on Monday from 6-8pm at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell, and from 12-2pm on Tuesday where Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm with the Rev. Alan Lindmark officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Canisteo, where all are welcome to join the family. Also a luncheon will immediately follow the graveside service, at the Harvest Baptist Church, all are welcome.
