Ruby F. Swarts, 92, formerly of of Madison Avenue, passed away Tuesday (October 24, 2017) at the Hornell Gardens.
Born in the Town Of Hornellsville, August 13, 1925, she had resided in the city of Hornell since 1947. She had been employed as a cook at Alfred University for 33 years prior to her retirement in 1997.
Ruby enjoyed handwork, especially crocheting and sewing as well as jigsaw puzzles.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Romaine Swarts in 1991, her sister; Alma Scheen, two brothers; Therlow and Stanley Edwards, her grandson; Jay Brew, and great grand daughter Talia Neu.
She is survived by two daughters, Pauline Brew of Arkport and Veronica (Daniel) Neu of Hornell, her brother; Louis Edwards of Narrowsburg, grandchildren; Jason Brew, Zane Swarts and Joseph Pulvino, step grandchildren; Craig Neu, Ryan Neu and Richard Neu. Great grandchildren; Kaden, Summer and Natalia.
