Ruby M. Zobrist, 96, a resident of the Wellsville Manor, passed away Saturday (August 24, 2013) surrounded by her family.
Born in Springfield, Missouri March 22, 1917, the daughter of Dolan and Dora (Nelson) Leslie, she had resided in the area for many years, moving here from Illinois. Ruby was a member of the O.E.S. in Carbondale, Illinois. She also enjoyed traveling, going to the Casino, reading, but most especially spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her parents and siblings.
She is survived by a daughter Ila (Joel) Williams of Alabama, 2 sons Daniel (Carolyn) Zobrist of Alaska, Allen (Jackie) Zobrist of California (formerly of Angelica), 4 grandchildren, Cari Zobrist, Jason Zobrist, Danny Rodriquez, and Barrett Zobrist, 8 great grandsons, as well as several nieces and nephews.
