2881 Sheridan Ave.,formerly of Hornell passed away Saturday (September 30, 2006) at the Bath Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Born in Oswego, July 27, 1921, the son of Erving andMildred Cardwell Penfield, he had resided in Hornell and in later years in Wellsville. He was aveteran of WW-2, and a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Hornellwhere he served as custodian. He wasalso a member of the Shongo Country Churchin Shongo. Roywas employed as a greeter at the Hornell WalMart Store. He was a life member ofthe American Legion Post #702 in Wellsville.
He was predeceased by his Wife Grace Emerson in 1997 a Step SonRonald Baldwin in 2004.
He is survived by aStep Daughter: Ann Baldwin of Wellsville and a Step Son: William Mosier ofHornell.
At Roy'srequest there will be no calling hours. A Memorial service will be held at adate and place to be announced. . Burialwill be in the Bath National Cemetery.
