Rose E. Forester
Canisteo
Rose E. Forester, 79, formerly of Jackson Street, passed away Saturday (February 18, 2012) at Harriett Taylor Health Care Center in Bath.
Born in Wellsville, March 23, 1932, the daughter of Clarence and Etha (McWilliams) Bancroft, she had resided in Canisteo and Arkport area all her life. Rose was employed at the former Marion Rohr in Hornell as well as the former Wilkinson's Ben-Franklin Store in Canisteo. She was a member of the Canisteo Wesleyan Church.
She was predeceased by her parents as well as three brothers; Robert and Franklin Bancroft, Kenneth Senear, two sisters; Geraldine Juntti and Laura Fetlak.
She is survived by one son; David (Melody) Forester of Dansville, former husband; Jim Forester of Canisteo, one brother; David Senear of Hornell, two sisters; June Perry of Darian Center and Dorothea Coletta of Spencerport, three grandchildren, Jeremy, Rebecca and Courtney Forester, several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday (Feb. 21, 2012) from 2pm until 4Pm, at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo. Funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 4Pm at the funeral home with Rev. Donald Maynard officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.
