Ronald E. Seger, 79, of 2 Main Street, passed away Saturday (October 20, 2018) at Elderwood Nursing Home in North Hornell.



Born in Whitesville, NY, March 14, 1939, the son of Laron and Bernice Seger, he had resided in Whitesville for many years, before moving to Arkport. Ronald had worked for Stern & Stern Textiles in Hornell, and recently retired from the City of Hornell after 25 years of driving the HAT Bus routes. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball, and the Boston Red Sox. Ron had also coached Little League, and the Babe Ruth teams.



He was predeceased by his parents and 2 sisters Vicky Seger, and Bonnie Golish, and a grandson Kyle.



He is survived by his sons Kevin (Rebecca) Seger of Arkport, Ronnie (Jennefer) Potter-Hendrick of Canisteo, 2 daughters Vicki Wingate of N.C., and Theresa of N.C., 2 brothers Harland (Nancy) Seger of Wellsville, Jeffrey (Judy) Seger of N.C., grandchildren Lisa, Kurt, Christopher, Bre'ann, Stephen, Tristen, Felicia, Cassidy, Britney, Tamera, and great grandchildren Brendan, Cody and Kierra, as well as nieces and nephews.



The family will be present 10-am-12pm Thursday, October 25, 2018, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell, where funeral services will be held at 12PM, with the Rev. Charlie Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Whitesville Cemetery.
