Ronald C. Kromer, 72, of 8763 Burns Road, passed away early Friday morning (September 23, 2011) in Rochester,
Born in Hornell, November 3, 1938, the son of Arthur E. and Ruth E. Wheelock Kromer, he had resided in Burns most of his life. He was a graduate of Canaseraga Central School, Class of 1956, and had been employed at the former SKF Industries in Hornell, and retired as a machinist and crane operator at the former Foster Wheeler Corporation in Dansville. Ron had also worked in farming for the late Andy Spencer and was a bus driver for the Arkport School District for several years. Ron attended the Burns Community Church and was a member of the Foster Wheeler 25 year club.
He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife Bernice Norma Kromer in 1992 and his son-in-law, Jay Plaisted in 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Hazel Freas Kromer to whom he was married May 13, 1995, 4 daughters, Deborah (Ralph) Perry of Arkport, Carolyn (Robert Erwin) Avery of Cohocton, Bonnie Plaisted of Arkport, and Shelly (Michael Wheeler) Bailor of Florida, one son, Arthur Kromer of Arkport, his brother, Rodney (Marilyn) Kromer of Arkport, 1 Step-daughter, Sharon (Mike) Preusch of Costa Rica, 3 step-sons, Larry (Alice) Freas of Rochester, Clarence (Jean) Freas of Fremont, and Gary (Crystal) Freas of Alfred Station, 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo St, Hornell on Sunday from 1 PM until 4PM at which time a Funeral services will be held with Pastor Dan Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Arkport Cemetery.
