Roland W. Stuart, 83,of the
Upper Swale Road, Town of Cameron, passed away Friday (Feb. 13, 2004 at the Waters At Three Rivers inPainted Post. . Born in Cameron, May 12, 1920, a son of Winfred andMargaret Reddy Stuart, he had resided most of his life in Cameron, except for the past 7years when he resided at theWaters at Three Rivers in Painted Post.
Mr. Stuart served with the US Army during WW-2, with the 141st General Hospital in England . He will be remembered for his love of bowlingand was a member the ' Dream Team ' from 1980 until 1995, the year the team took the first place trophy. He was a member of the Jasper United Methodist Church, and had been employed at Corning Glass for several years prior to hisretirement in 1982.
Mr. Stuart was predeceased by an infant son in 1953, aninfant daughter in 1955, his brothers, Harry, William, Robert ,Ellis ,andKenneth Stuart; a sister, Evelyn Warner as well as twogrand daughters Rebecca Taft in 1998 andKelly Russell in 2002, and one infant grandson in 1975.
Surviving are his loving wife, Shirley McIntyre Stuart whomhe married May 10, 1947
