Roberta J. Norton, 69, of 5th Street, formerly of Hammer Creek Rd., passed away Thursday (January 14, 2016) at Robert Packer Hosptial, Sayre PA.
Born May 2, 1946 in Champaign IL, the daughter of Olean and Veronica Pyer Aultman, she had resided in Canisteo all of her adult life. She was a graduate of the Arkport Central School class of 1964 and received her bachelor's degree from the Empire State College.On November 4, 1967 she married Jerry Norton who predeceased her on January 19, 2010. She enjoyed playing cards with the ladies at the Canisteo Manor, enjoyed scrapbooking and always had season passes to the Woodhull Raceway. She was a retiree of the Canisteo Central School District.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Jerry Norton, and two brothers Raymond and Roger Aultman.
She is survived by her daughter Michelle (Jack Muhleisen) Norton of Hornell, one son Jay (Kelly) Norton of Wind Gap PA, grandson Brady Norton of Wind Gap PA, a sister Rita Kame of Fremont, a brother Ronald (Polly) Aultman of Canisteo, brother-in-law David (Linda) Norton of Geneseo, sister-in-law Bonnie Norton of Canisteo, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will be present to receive friends on Monday (1/18/16) , from 1PM until 3PM at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo. A memorial service will be held on Monday following calling hours at 3PM, Deacon Robert McCormick officiating.
