Robert Lee Wirth, 66, former Hornell resident, passed away Tuesday (Nov. 26, 2024) in New Haven Indiana.
Born in Temple, Texas, Sept. 11, 1958, Rob was the son of Robert and Glenna Hamilton Wirth. He had spent his early life in Hornell prior to moving to Florida in 2001. He was a graduate of Hornell High School and had received his Associates Degree in Diesel Machanics from SUNY Alfred. He had been employed most of his life as an Auto Body Technician.
Rob moved back to Indiana in 2019. His hobbies included auto racing, and following NASCAR.
He was predeceased by his parents
Surviving are his sisters, Elaine (Gregory) Hart of Hamlin and Vickie (Donald) Strong of North Carolina, his brothers, Greg Wirth of Avon, NY, Jeffrey (Lilly Huynh) Wirth of Indiana and Derek Wirth of Victor, NY, his nieces and nephews, Justin (Brittany) Wirth, Anna Wirth, Mary Beth Wirth, Robert Gavin Wirth and Caleb Wirth, Great nieces and nephews, Maddison Wirth, Alice Wirth and Daniel Rodriuez-Wirth.
The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday (Dec. 7, 2024) at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell from 11 AM until 1 PM when services will be held with Rev. Lenny Fuller officiating. Burial will be in Hornell Rural Cemetery.
