Robert T. Winiarski, 68, a resident of Washington Street, passed away Saturday (Oct. 26, 2024) at St. James Hospital.
Born in Niagara Falls, Bob had resided several years in Andover, prior to moving to Hornell in 2009. He had been employed as a yardman for North Main Lumber Company in Hornell for many years. He later worked as a cab driver for County Cab in Hornell.
He was predeceased by his sister and brother-in-law, Crystal and Paul Blanchard.
Bob was a member of the VFW War Dads and the Hornell AMVETS. Bob was well known as a semi-professional Dart Player and a member of the local dart and pool league in Hornell.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Cone Winiarski of Hornell, sons, Robert (Cassandra Kohler) Winiarski and Daniel (Randi) Winiarski both of Alabama, Step- children, Katie Cole of Hornell and Gary (Jeanette) Cole Jr, of Plattsburgh, his sister, Mary (Terry) Sahr of North Carolina and nephews, Shane (Susan) Sohrweid of Pennsylvania and John Swinford of North Carolina,
Grandchildren, Savannah (Adriane) Shelton, Sierra Holcomb, Damien Winiarski, Alyssa Winiarski, Ezra Winiarski and Oliver Winiarski all of Alabama.
Bob’s wishes were to have no calling hours or services. Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Hornell is assisting the family with arrangements.
