Robert Daniel White
1938 – 2025
Robert D. White, age 86, of Angelica, New York, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025, at Olean General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
A lifelong hard worker and the very definition of “a body in motion stays in motion,” Bob spent many dedicated years with the New York State Department of Transportation. After retiring from state service, he continued pursuing his passion for building and problem-solving by founding his own business, Bob’s Construction. He worked tirelessly and proudly until his second retirement.
Bob had a deep love for woodworking, tinkering, and time spent with his family. His hands were always busy, and his heart was always full when he was helping others or crafting something with care. He was a man who lived with purpose, humor, and quiet strength.
Bob is survived by his children: Robert (Bufford) White, Tammie Elliott, and Melissa Miller; and by his cherished grandchildren: Chantal, Jacob, Faith, and Cody, and his great grand children. His legacy of hard work, love, and resilience lives on through them.
Calling hours will be on Monday (June 23, 2024) from 3-4pm at the Angelica Baptist Church and a Funeral Service to follow at 4:00pm with Pastor Bret Longwell officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages you to spend time doing something with your hands or sharing a quiet moment with loved ones—just as Bob would have appreciated.
