Robert "Bob" passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and friends, after a very long battle with cancer he's now pain free and in peace.
Born in Urbana, August 23, 1951, the son of Burrell and Doris (Rundall) Scott, he was a lifelong area resident. Bob had delivered newspapers for the Evening Tribune, and the Corning Leader, he had also worked for Oil companies out of state, and for Southern Tier Palletts, in Avoca. Bob had many hobbies such as working on cars including body work and mechanical work, and he loved to play pool and horseshoes. His true passion was his entire family he will be greatly missed by all.
He was predeceased by his father Burrell, and his mother and father in law Daniel & Ruth Mullen and 3 sons.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife Sharon Mullen Scott, whom he married on September 24, 1977, his mother Doris Scott of Myrtle Beach, SC, his sons Bobby (Christine) Scott of Prattsburgh, Joe (Charity) Scott of Avoca, Jesse (Denise) Scott of Prattsburgh, Mike (Farrell) Monaghan of Hornell, daughter Brandy (Lynn) Miles of Wallace, his brother Brian (Shannon Seeley) Scott of Corning, sisters Rose (John) Stratton of Bath, Tammy Scott of Myrtle Beach, Denise (Steve) Santacroce of Myrtle Beach, his brother and sister in laws, Margaret Giblin, Daniel (Bev) Mullen III, Steve & Debbie Mullen, John (Ann) Mullen, Cathi & Steve Kenyon, Norma & Rick Timothy, 20 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his four legged baby Ford/Nut Hugger
The family will be present to receive friends from 10am-12noon Saturday, June 16, 2018, at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell, where Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, with Dr. Joe DePra officiating.
