Canisteo
Robert C. Rahmlow, 67, of 5791 Feenaughty Hill Rd., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday (November 2, 2010) at his home.
Born in Elmira, July 11, 1943, the son of Harry and Doris Broughton Rahmlow, he had resided in Elmira during his early years and in Canisteo most of all his life. Bob was a graduate of Canisteo Central School, Class of 1963. He had been employed at the former Thompson's Furniture in Canisteo, the former Tuttle & Rockwell Co. of Hornell, Durkee's Bakery, Worthington (Dresser Rand), and in farming. Bob and his wife Bea had been foster parents for nearly 60 special children during their marriage.
Bob was a member of the Canisteo Wesleyan Church where he had served as Sunday School Teacher, Board and Trustee member, former choir director, youth and teen leader, and active in the maintenance of the church. He had served as camp counselor at Chambers Camp and horse director and counselor at Sandy Hill Boys Camp in Maryland. Bob was a writer and published author.
He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Doris Rahmlow, his daughter Connie Rahmlow and his brother William Rahmlow.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Semans Rahmlow, who he married on April 4, 1964, 3 daughters, Lisa (Jeff) Patelski of VA., Bonnie (Jeff) Bacon of Canisteo and Melody (John Michael) Kopetz of Va. 5 sons, Robert Scott Rahmlow (Angie Heimbach) of Ossian, Robert Scott Rahmlow ll of Canisteo, Daniel (Jennifer) Daily of Wellsville and Stephen Daily of Wellsville, and Luke (Tina) Stevens of Canisteo, his sister, Linda Colburn of Rochester, his special aunt, Elizabeth (Betty) Holden of North Carolina, 11 grandchildren, Raymond and Katie Rahmlow, Gillian, James, and Ashley Patelski, Joshua (Kim) Kopetz, Jefferson and Shannon Bacon, Luther, Christina and Ryan Stevens, one great grandson, Teron Bacon, numerous sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will be present to receive friends from 1-3 & 6-8 PM Friday at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce St., Canisteo and on Saturday from 10 AM until 11 AM at the Canisteo Wesleyan Church, Greenwood Street, Canisteo where funeral services will be held following calling hours at 11:00 AM. Rev. Donald Maynard and Bob's brother-in-law, Rev. Larry Semans will be officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.
